When incorporating a company you need to decide what the minimum and maximum number of directors will be. You must have at least one director. You can then choose whether you want to set a range of directors e.g 1-10, 1-3, or have it as fixed amount. If you select a range, such as a minimum of 1 and maximum of 10, that doesn't mean you need to have 10 directors after incorporation, you can have as many as you want as long as it falls within the range. This can provide flexibility so that additional directors can be added, however, if in the future you look to go beyond the maximum amount of directors you will have to amend the articles of incorporation and file with the government.
