What is an “Interpretation – Capitalized Terms” clause?..
This clause refers the reader to Schedule A of the SAFE wherein defined terms are set out. The definitions should be reviewed carefully since they will determine the interpretation and meaning of the agreement. If the SAFE is amended to add or remove terms the relevant definitions must be amended as well. An example of this clause is: Defined terms used herein shall have the meanings ascribed to them in Schedule A.
